TTS Group recently held a Long Service Award in Penang and Johor Bahru sites respectively to recognize their employees who have contributed 5 years and 10 years service with the TTS Group. This year saw a total of 5 employees from Penang and 6 employees from Johor being honoured for their service. Congratulations to the long service award recipients!
Our corporate legal officer had on 24th Oct and 14th Nov conducted two briefing sessions for our designers and sales team regarding Contract Terminology as well as the application of Non-Disclosure Agreement, and Intellectual Patent. The objective of the briefing sessions is to bring about legal awareness of protecting the interest of TTS Group and that of our global customers.
As part of the annual planning, the Operation Teams from the various TTS sites met in Penang in early November 2013 to strategize on the best Operational Excellence Model for our Group. The session saw a total of 27 HODs and senior staff engaged intensively over a period of 3 days. Based on the outcome, the Group hopes to develop an OE Model focused on the delivery of a consistent and reliable value flow to the customers in our key operation processes from design to post sales support.
Sales Managers of TTS Group from various countries in Asia and US had recently came together for a 3 days Global Sales Meeting (GSM). Held in the TTS corporate office in Penang, the GSM was very fruitful with participants reviewing their key sales achievements in year 2013 and giving a snapshot of the market in their regions. The result from the GSM is a dynamic sales strategy roadmap to enhance the penetration of TTS Group in the test tooling market for the coming year.
We are delighted to have Mr. Toshiyuki Itoi as the Sales Director for TTS in Japan. An engineering graduate from NIHON University Japan, Itoi-san brings to us extensive knowledge of the test tooling and electronics industry in Japan with more than 20 years of experience. He will be responsible for the management and expansion of our sales operations in Japan. We extend a very warm welcome to Itoi-san as a member of the TTS Group.
Thank you for your engagement in the recent Taiwan Semicon held at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall held from 6 to 9 September 2013 . The team was kept busy sharing with the visitors our test tooling capability and solutions to support their business growth. TTSG participation in the show is a good debut for making our presence known to the semiconductor customers in Taiwan.
As a precautionary measure to safeguard the health of its employees in case that there is a return of haze, the Company shall be distributing to all our employees in Malaysia a N95 mask each if the Air Pollution Index in Malaysia touches the unhealthy level of 200. The move reflects the Company’s concern on the health of its employees to minimize the adverse impact of haze towards their health.
It was a great “Durians – King of Fruits Fiesta” for over 100 TTS staff in our Johor facility. Beside savouring the various grades of delicious durians, the staff also got to enjoy a variety of rambutans and mangosteens in the Fiesta. It was a time of fun and gaiety as our staff mingled and shared great stories of durians they have tasted. For the lucky ones, they also got to take back a lucky draw prize after the event.
5S has long been one of the workplace management initiatives undertaken by TTS group to enhance efficiency towards lean manufacturing operations. Last year in 2012, our facility in Johor Bahru had organized a 12 months improvement competition amongst all departments to maintain the robustness of this 5S initiative. Emerging as winner of the 5S competition is Auto Lathe – QA which had showed consistent improvements in waste reduction, efficiency and quality, whilst maintaining zero accidents and zero near misses in the workplace. Congratulations to the Auto Lathe – QA team and keep up the good work!
